The government’s 2019 honours list comprises 31 individuals and entities including seven members of its top advisory body, the 11-member Executive Council (ExCo), according to a statement by the Government Spokesperson’s Office yesterday.
Executive Council members Liu Chak Wan and Ma Iao Lai, both businessmen, were awarded the Gold Lotus Decoration of Honour, the Macau Special Administrative Region’s (MSAR) second-highest decoration. The top honour, the Grand Lotus, was not awarded this time.
Five other ExCo members – Leonel Alves, Cheang Chi Keong, Ho Sut Heng, Eddie Wong Yue Kai and Chan Chak Mo – were awarded the Silver Lotus.
