A 68-year-old woman died yesterday after being hit and run over by a car when she was painting white lines in a car park in Nape, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement.
According to a statement by the Fire Services Bureau (CB) yesterday, the victim surnamed Lam was a local resident. The 50-year-old male suspect surnamed Cheong told the police that he works as a casino dealer. He passed a breathalyser test.
According to the statement, the accident happened at about 1:13 p.m. in the ground-floor car park of Hotline Centre in Rua Cidade de Santarém in Nape. The sexagenarian and her husband were painting the lines when a car entered the car park and hit her. She ended up under the car.
