The Urban Planning Council suspended yesterday the expansion project by Carlos Marreiros, one of Macau’s best-known architects, of the private Portuguese School near the Grand Lisboa hotel-casino tower.
Consequently, the project will have to be re-assessed by the Lands, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) and Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The decision was made during a regular meeting of the government-appointed council in the wake of criticism by fellow architect Rui Leão, a member of the council.
