Visiting Cape Verdean Minister of Education, Family and Social Inclusion Maritza Rosabal Peña has stressed the continued need to count on Macau’s support for the training of human resources in tourism and management for Cape Verde, according to a statement by the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture (GSASC).

Peña, a Cape Verdean of Cuban descent, made the remarks during a meeting with Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng at Government Headquarters on Friday, the statement noted.

Peña expressed her gratitude for the local government’s support of Cape Verde students who study in Macau thanks to local scholarships, and she also discussed the possibility of renewing an agreement, signed between Macau and Cape Verde in 2015, on the cooperation in higher education between the two sides, the statement noted.
