A survey about the local LGBT community shows that about 14 percent of LGBT people in Macau have contemplated suicide, Rainbow of Macau, a local non-governmental organisation (NGO) which supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) people, announced yesterday.
The survey also showed that 18.9 percent of the online survey’s gay respondents and 11.2 percent of its lesbian respondents said they had considered suicide.
LGBT is an acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender.
