The Judiciary Police (PJ) busted a loan-sharking gang and nabbed eight mainlanders, PJ spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a special press conference yesterday, pointing out that the gang’s two kingpins were still at large at the time of yesterday’s press conference.

According to Choi, the eight suspects are mainlanders, mostly from Guangdong province. Their surnames are Feng, Liang, Ma, Xu, Wu, Yang, Zheng and Liang. The Liangs are not related. The suspects are aged between 23 and 49. One of the Liangs, Wu and Xu, are the key members of the gang, Choi added.

According to Choi, the local police received a tip-off two months ago about a cross-border loan-sharking gang working out of a flat in Avenida Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues.
