Macau’s package tour visitor arrivals dropped to 509,000 in October, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) has announced.
According to a DSEC statement on Friday, apart from a 19.2 percent growth in package tour visitors from Malaysia to 5,500, all other countries and regions recorded year-on-year decreases, with those from the Chinese mainland (380,000), Taiwan (60,000) and South Korea (33,000) dropped by 38.5 percent, 42.5 percent and 37.6 percent respectively.
Nearly 88 percent of all package tour visitors were mainlanders, Hongkongers and Taiwanese.
