A 37-year-old man, who works as a lorry driver, robbed a 34-year-old pregnant woman of 500 patacas in cash in Fai Chi Kei district on Monday, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Chan Wun Man said during a special press conference yesterday.
Both the suspect, surnamed Fan, and the victim are locals.
At around 5 a.m. on Monday, the victim, who is nine-months pregnant, was walking from her home towards a staff shuttle bus stop near Avenida Marginal do Lam Mau, when a man – Fan – suddenly threatened her with a hard object from behind and told her to give him money.
