An exhibition series presenting the collections of the Palace Museum in an unprecedented scale was inaugurated yesterday at the Macau Museum of Art (MAM) in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macau’s return to the motherland.
The exhibition series, under the theme “The Long Journey: The Forbidden City and Maritime Silk Road,” seeks to lead the audience to revisit the magnificence that ensued in the course of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges by displaying cultural gems associated with the Maritime Silk Road.
As the first phase of the exhibition series, an exhibition using state-of-art digital interactive technology to display the Chinese painting masterpiece “A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains” was launched yesterday evening and will be on display until March 15.
