The Public Security Police (PSP) nabbed a senior police on Sunday for driving under the influence (DUI) when he crashed his scooter into the roadside barriers on a flyover and subsequently failed a breathalyser, PSP spokesman Choi Iok Kin said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Choi, the 40-year-old suspect surnamed Chao joined the Public Security Police in 1999 and is now a senior PSP officer.
According to Choi, Chao crashed his scooter on the flyover in Avenida do Comendador Ho Yin. He called the 999 hotline for help. When firemen arrived at scene, they conducted a preliminary health check on Chao and found that he smelt strongly of alcohol.
