Eleven women from the mainland aged between 20 and 30 are being investigated for prostitution in Bairro Iao Hon where they allegedly offered commercial sex for just 150 to 200 patacas, the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday.
The police said that they received a tip-off from the education sector and community associations and after investigating they went to the residential area late yesterday afternoon and caught three women trying to pick up clients
When the police went to search each of the three women’s flats, they nabbed eight more women suspected of prostitution and a man from the mainland believed to have been a client of one of the sex workers. The police also seized a quantity of condoms and lubricants.
