The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) will consider whether its one-off subsidy for kindergartens to conduct interviews with prospective pupils this year, which amounts to 100 patacas per interview, should become one of its recurrent subsidies to schools in the future, DSEJ Deputy Director Lou Pak Sang said yesterday.
Lou made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition at the Bank of China Building.
According to Lou, the government will also review the amount of the subsidy when all kindergartens have submitted reports on their recruitment for this year to the bureau.
