Macau-US gaming operator MGM announced today that it has launched a virtual classroom developed by the local Yorkshire Online Academy for its staff members during the current COVID-19 epidemic.

According to an MGM statement, "MGM has once again partnered with Yorkshire Online Academy to transform traditional classroom courses into distance learning mode through harnessing an instructor-led virtual classroom developed by the start-up that allows [MGM] team members to learn and interact with the class remotely."

The statement pointed out that as of today, "there are already over 1,000 team members registered on this platform."

The statement quoted Nicky Wong Man Teng, co-founder and CEO of Yorkshire Online Academy, as saying that his company "appreciates the fact that MGM chooses to partner with us even during this difficult time, which is a demonstration of their trust and support for local SMEs."
