An exhibition of selected works from various “Draw My Story of Stamps” contests is being held at the Communications Museum (CMM). It displays selected pieces from contests held between 2013 and 2019, according to the CMM website.
The annual event is a hand-painting creation competition based on the theme and content of the selected stamp or sheetlet. It aims to encourage painting enthusiasts to participate in cultural creative arts and design activities. The contest is divided into three groups for local children and youth group aged six to twelve and aged 13 to 18, as well as for local and overseas participants without an age limit, according to the website.
From 2013 to 2019, the museum received 1,227 original entries for the contests.
The exhibition runs until further notice at a temporary gallery on the ground floor of the museum. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed on public holidays) at 7 Estrada de D. Maria II. Admission is free for local residents while 10 patacas is charged for non-residents.
