The world's novel coronavirus death toll went beyond 400,000 today, according to the worldometers.info website.
The toll stood at 402,294 at 3:45 p.m. today, when the world's total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases amounted to 6.98 million, including 3.41 recovered patients.
In the US, the world's hardest hit country in the pandemic, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases stood at 1.988 million, with 112,096 deaths.
According to official data, Macau has not confirmed a new COVID-19 case in 60 days. All the city's 45 novel coronavirus disease patients have been discharged. All of the cases have been classified by the Macau Health Bureau (SSM) as imported or "connected to imported cases." Just one of the cases was described by SSM officials as serious, and no COVID-19 death has been reported in Macau.
