The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States has gone beyond two million, the real-time statistics reference website worldometers.info reported today.

According to the website, the US had 2,007,531 confirmed novel coronavirus disease cases as of 6:30 p.m. today (Macau time), with 112,471 deaths.

The US accounted for 28 percent of the world's COVID-19 cases and 27 percent of its novel coronavirus fatalities.

Meanwhile, the Health Bureau (SSM) said at its daily press conference about the disease today that Macau has not confirmed a new COVID-19 case in 61 days.

All of Macau's 45 novel coronavirus patients have been discharged. All the cases were imported or connected to imported cases, according to the bureau. Almost all people in Macau have worn facemasks since late January when out and about. Strict border entry curbs have been in place for several months.
