It is with great sadness that we inform our readers, advertisers and distributors of the passing of our dear friend, business partner and colleague U Tak Hon who passed away on July 8. He had been our team’s prime mover since the launch of this newspaper nearly 16 years ago. His exceptional knowledge, wisdom, acumen, experience, camaraderie and, last but not least, humour will be dearly missed. He was both an indomitable journalist and a profound patriot for whom the “One China” and “One Country, Two Systems” policies and professional principles were sacrosanct. We extend our deepest condolences to his bereaved family. We will do our very best to honour his professional and personal legacy by staying the course.
