Two exhibitions organised by the Millennium Secondary School, entitled “Millennium Secondary School Chinese Culture Curriculum Achievement Exhibition” and “Creative Design and Application Works Exhibition”, both by teachers and pupils of the private school are on display at 10 Fantasia gallery.

The two exhibitions taking place simultaneously are co-hosted by 10 Fantasia, the St. Lazarus Church District Creative Industries Promotion Association, Binshu Studio and Tou In Ceramic Art Studio, according to an unsigned article on 10 Fantasia’s Facebook page.

The exhibitions showcase about 150 pieces and teaching materials of the school’s pupils and teachers such as embroidery, tie-dye, pottery, mixed media, Chinese calligraphy and painting, incense, lacquer painting and paper cutting, according to the article, which points out that the various types of artwork are the school’s achievements since it launched a Chinese culture curriculum some years ago.

The article underlined that the school is committed to promoting the artistic spirit of Chinese culture and actively nurturing outstanding talents for civil society.

According to the article, the exhibitions aim to strengthen people’s confidence in, and awareness of, Chinese culture. They cover both traditional art and modern aesthetics.

The exhibitions are co-sponsored by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau’s (DSEJ) Education Development Fund and the public Macau Foundation (FM).

The events run until August 8 in two halls – A02 and C01 – at 10 Fantasia, which opens daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Mondays) at 10, Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro. Admission is free.
