A local man in his 40s told the police yesterday that he flashed through the display window of a boutique, near the private Kiang Wu Hospital, where a saleswoman was working, because he was under stress at work and wanted to have some fun.
The Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement that a woman reported to the police recently that a man banged on the display window of a boutique where she works, and when he got her attention, he dropped his trousers, exposed his genitals, did obscene acts and then fled the scene.
According to the statement, after about five minutes, the man reappeared on the pavement opposite the boutique.
The statement said that the woman called the police because she felt uneasy.
Thanks to CCTV footage and surveillance systems, the police identified the man and took him in for questioning on Sunday.
The statement said that the man admitted that he flashed because he wanted to have some fun and relieve the stress he had from work, and wanted to see the woman’s reaction.
The statement said that the man has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) for follow-up.
