CTM is calling for local talent to develop smart solutions based on 5G technology in a competition as part of the telecom operator’s effort to encourage the public to participate in the development of “Digital Macau”.
The “CTM 5G•Smart Solutions Competition” aims to motivate local talents to develop smart solutions based on 5G technology that creates more relevancies with local residents’ work, livelihoods and entertainment patterns.
The competition is open to all Macau residents to participate, conceive, explore, and develop smart applications that cater the needs of the local community.
The competition is categorised into “Implementation Group” and “Concept Group”. Technical support, consultation and guidance, such as 5G experimental sites, 5G services, 5G mobile devices, will be provided by CTM during the competition period.
The competition has Macau Post and Telecommunications (CTT) and The Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) as co-organisers.
Applicants should explore and develop localised smart solutions with 5G technology that features high connection speed, ultra-low latency, and massive connectivity.
The solutions should be able to cater into local commercial, social, or livelihood scenarios; as well as unleash the potential and enhance business efficiencies or solve existing social dilemma.
Smart solutions could be orientated towards e-finance, e-medical, e-elderly care, e-education, e-tourism. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of up to 80,000 patacas and a trophy.
