Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes will remain at the helm of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) for one more year, the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture announced yesterday.
The one-year extension of the MGTO director’s term will take effect on December 20, according to an order, dated September 2, issued by Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Elsie Ao Ieong U. The order, officially termed “renewal of secondment”, was published in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday.
The order pointed out that Senna Fernandes, who has headed the government’s tourism office, has the “adequate experience and professional capacity” for her post, which she has held since late 2012.
