Sands China Ltd. inaugurated the latest cohort of local SME suppliers into the Sands Procurement Academy Wednesday, at a ceremony at The Venetian Macao.
It is the seventh group of local SME suppliers to enrol in the complimentary training initiative to date.
Co-organised with the Macau Chamber of Commerce and the Macau Productivity and Technology Centre (CPTTM), the academy promotes the development of local SME suppliers by sharing business knowledge and skills.
Close to 180 local SME suppliers have completed the academy’s training programme to date. Graduating suppliers receive a certificate and are given preferential procurement opportunities under otherwise equal circumstances.
Through tailor-made practical training modules, participants learn about quality assurance, Macau labour law fundamentals, logistics management, supplier code of conduct, procurement contract basics, and procurement process and system overview. – scpr
