The “8th Latin American Cultural Festival” organised by the Macau Association for the Promotion of Exchanges between the Asia-Pacific and Latin America (MAPEAL) is being held at Macau Tower.
The annual event aims to promote Latin American culture in Macau and deepen the understanding of local residents and tourists about Latin America, according to information provided by the organiser.
This year’s activities such as several photo exhibitions, a coffee-brewing competition to be held this Saturday, a wine and spirits festival on November 7 complete with Latin music & dance, and a salsa dance workshop are being held at Macau Tower.
In addition, a tango dance workshop will be held at the Rui Cunha Foundation Gallery on November 12, while a string of seminars will be held online on November 23, 24 and 27 at the private Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), according to the information.
The event is supported by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and co-organised by the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, Rui Cunha Foundation, local universities and colleges as well as over a dozen Latin American consulates-general.
The event at Macau Tower runs until November 16. Admission is free.
As part of the government’s COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures, all visitors entering the venue must wear a facemask, have their temperature checked and present their digital Health Code declaration.
