Government-appointed Central Districts Community Service Consultative Council member Ron Lam U Tou urged the government yesterday to tell the public why telecom operator CTM will continue to manage the city’s telecomm “concession assets” exclusively for the next five years.
Lam, a vice-president of local think tank Choi In Tong Sam, also said the way the government deals with the “concession assets” was against its plan to open the local telecom market further.
Lam made the remarks during yesterday’s plenary session of the council at the government’s Service Centre in the Rotunda de Carlos da Maia neighbourhood.
