This year’s 16-day Christmas market will run from December 19 to January 3 in Praça do Tap Seac, according to a Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) statement.
The statement said that in order to celebrate the joyous atmosphere of Christmas, the bureau decided to host a 16-day Christmas market themed “Wish upon the stars”. The statement pointed out that there will be 22 Christmas gifts booths and eight food stalls, which will be selling local creative products.
According to the statement, there will be Santa Claus and clowns performing magic and other shows. The statement added that this year there will also be a night sky tubing slope, a merry-go-round, and a star dream coffee cup ride for children. The statement said that the entertainment facilities open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and are free of charge.
The statement also said that there will be “a wish cloud making machine”, Christmas lights and a Christmas cabin to take photos.
According to the statement, the market opens from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. except for December 19, 20, 24 to 26 and 31, when the market will open from 2 p.m. to midnight.
The statement said that visitors to the market need to wear facemasks, get their temperature checked and present their Macau Health Code before entering the market.
