Govt says no change to ‘local dealers only’ policy

The Spokesperson’s Office of the Government said yesterday there was no change in the government’s current policy that it won’t allow the import of non-resident workers to be employed as dealers (croupiers) by local casinos. 

This means, according to the statement, that the government’s long-standing policy which only allows local residents to work as dealers will remain intact. 

The statement did not say why the government chose to reaffirm its commitment to the policy yesterday.
