Hotel guests drop nearly 90 pct in May
Macau’s 108 hotels and guesthouses recorded 116,000 guests last month, a year-on-year decline of 89.9 percent, the Statistics and Service Bureau (DSEC) said in a statement yesterday. According to the statement, guests from the Chinese mainland (71,000) and Hong Kong (10,000) both decreased by over 90 percent. Guests’ average length of stay rose by 0.7 night to 2.1 nights.
