Visitor arrivals rise 206.9 pct in August
Macau’s visitor arrivals rose 206.9 percent month-to-month but fell 93.7 percent year-on-year to 227,113 in August, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday. A DSEC statement attributed the triple-digit month-to-month growth to a strong increase in mainland visitors.  Last month’s same-day visitors and overnight visitors stood at 156,481 and 70,632 respectively.
