Macau again received the “Best BT-MICE City”* award during the TTG Travel Awards 2025 ceremony in Bangkok on Thursday, according to a Friday statement by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).

The statement noted that the award was accepted by IPIM representatives. It marks the fourth award in the exhibition sector that Macau has received this year and the third consecutive year that the city has won an international award following its recognition as “Best Convention City (Asia).

The statement added that both IPIM and the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) organised a delegation comprising 12 Macau and Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin companies that took part in the “2025 Incentive Travel & Conventions Meetings Asia” (IT&CMA), as well as set up the “Macao-Hengqin Pavilion”, according to the statement.

IPIM also arranged for the exhibitors to join the “Global MICE Collaborative Certification” (GMC) training course.

The statement said that Macau hosted 918 exhibition events in the first half of this year, a 29 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The city’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry has garnered a number of awards this year, among which are the “Forbes Travel Guide 2025 Five-Star Award” and “Best Integrated Resort (Meetings and Exhibitions)”, the statement said.
