IPIM reps attend ‘UFI Global CEO Summit’ in Lisbon
The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) said in a statement yesterday that its representatives attended the “UFI Global CEO Summit” in Lisbon from February 1-3 to promote the local MICE* industry’s advantages and attract international MICE activities to the city.UFI, according to the statement, is among the world’s leading international organisations for the exhibition industry. Its website notes that its name is abbreviated from “Union des Foires Internationales”
18 pct of travellers using Macau’s HZMB checkpoint are locals: police
Local residents have made up 18 percent of the travellers using the Macau checkpoint of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) since the opening of the mega-bridge on October 24 last year, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday.The statement said that over 13 million travellers have passed through the Macau checkpoint since the delta bridge opened a year ago, adding that Hong Kong residents accounted for 36 percent of them, while mainlanders accounted for 38 percent.
