18 pct of travellers using Macau’s HZMB checkpoint are locals: police
Local residents have made up 18 percent of the travellers using the Macau checkpoint of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) since the opening of the mega-bridge on October 24 last year, the Public Security Police (PSP) said in a statement yesterday.The statement said that over 13 million travellers have passed through the Macau checkpoint since the delta bridge opened a year ago, adding that Hong Kong residents accounted for 36 percent of them, while mainlanders accounted for 38 percent.
