A masseuse was arrested last Tuesday for attacking her colleague with a knife last Monday night, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Ho Chan Nam said at a regular press conference on Friday.
The 47-year-old local suspect, surnamed Ho, works in a spa in Zape. The victim, another masseuse, is the suspect’s colleague.
According to the spokesman, the Public Security Police had notified the Judiciary Police in the early hours of Tuesday that a masseuse had attacked her colleague with a knife. PJ officers discovered that Ho had borrowed 15,000 patacas from the victim to repay her gambling debts, but she had only paid back 5,000 patacas so far. The victim had repeatedly asked Ho to pay her the remaining debt but to no avail, and the duo had quarrelled many times.
The spokesman went on to say that the two had a quarrel about the use of electric heaters last Monday night. Ho rushed into the cooking area of the lounge in a rage, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim in the head several times. Other colleagues at the scene stopped Ho and called the police. Ho told the police that she and the victim had not been happy with each other for some time. Before the incident, the victim had said something to provoke her and that was why she was full of anger and attacked her.
According to the doctor’s report, the victim had a fracture on the right side of the back of her head, and it would take 15 days for her to recover, according to the spokesman.
Ho has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing charges of aggravated bodily harm and possession of prohibited weapons, according to the spokesman.
