Three continuing education groups urged the government yesterday to come up with concrete policies for the creation of a lifelong-learning society, saying that the government could achieve the goal by establishing ‘learning communities’ in the city.
The East Asia Forum for Adult Education, Macau Association for Continuing Education and Macau Society of Continuing Education co-hosted a press conference about their views and suggestions in response to the government’s first-ever Five-Year Development Plan (2016-2020). The press conference was held at the Millennium Secondary School in Nape.
The government in April announced details of the plan’s draft version and carried out a public consultation which will end at the end of this month.
