MGM held the annual blessing ceremony for its Dragon Boat Team at the Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre last week.
Led by a team of the company’s senior executives, the ceremony was to extend best wishes to 52 MGM team members who will take part in the “Macau International Dragon Boat Races 2021”. Comprising over 80 percent of local employees, the Dragon Boat Team will compete in four categories.
Senior executives of MGM, including President, Chief Strategic & Financial Officer Kenneth Feng; Executive Vice President of Legal & General Counsel Antonio Menano; Executive Vice President of Human Resources Wendy Yu; Senior Vice President of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing Tian Han; and Senior Vice President of VIP Operations Peter Chen, performed a series of traditional rituals, such as offering incense, carving a suckling pig and eye-dotting the dragon boats – a gesture made to symbolically awaken the spirit of the boats, followed by an energetic performance by the cheerleading squad. The ceremony then came to a successful close as the Dragon Boat Team rowed together in the shower of festive confetti. – mgmpr
