To celebrate the Tanabata festival, Nagomi, at the Hotel Okura Macau, is delighted to offer an exclusive Tanabata afternoon high tea set.
Tanabata is derived from an ancient Chinese love story from two thousand years ago about the Princess and the Cowherd, who could only meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar. It was introduced to Japan as a traditional festival afterwards. Japanese would write their wishes on Tanzaku paper (colourful, small strips of paper) and hang them on bamboo branches to make wishes and for decorative purposes.
The high tea set includes chestnut éclair, Kyoho grape opera cake, yuzu pie shooter, chocolate fudge cake, strawberry basket, red bean green tea mousse, sakura cake roll, tofu peach cake, scones with honey, strawberry jam and clotted cream, beef teriyaki sandwich, rolled truffle egg sandwich, and fruit sando.
Price is at 388 patacas with tea or coffee for two, and subject to 10 percent service charge. The high tea set runs until July 31 and its available from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – hompr
