The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) said in a statement yesterday that it has launched “Creating Better Job Perspectives for 2021” for both 2020 and 2021 graduates, adding that they can sign up from now until July 30.
According to the statement, in order to cater to youths’ employment needs, this year the bureau’s 2021 programme allows graduates from the two years to join the workforce by interning. The statement pointed out that the aim of the programme is to let youngsters gain experience from their internship in preparation for the real world.
The statement said that during the signup, many graduates from 2020 have shown interest in joining the programme, and companies are willing to recruit more interns. Therefore, the bureau is opening the signup to last year’s graduates and extended the deadline until July 30.

According to the bureau’s website, the sectors offering internship opportunities are hospitality, gaming, banking, telecommunication, water and electricity utilities, health care, airlines, retail, construction, and associations.
