The Sports Bureau (ID) announced in a statement on Friday that the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League (VNL) will hold its Macau stop of the championship from May 28 to June 2 next year, highlighting that the Chinese women’s volleyball team will compete in the Macau leg of the multi-city tournament with the other seven world volleyball teams.
The other seven teams are Brazil, the Dominican Republic, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands and Thailand, the statement said.
According to the statement, the six-day event is authorised by the Swiss-based International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and co-hosted by the Sports Bureau, Galaxy Entertainment Group and the China Macau Volleyball Association.
A total of six stages around the world will be set up, with each stage to be held for six days, and eight participating teams will play 16 matches, the statement said.
