Resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has hosted the awards ceremony for its 12th edition of the popular annual team member event ‘Galaxy Got Talent’ at its Broadway Theatre, according to a statement by the Hong Kong-listed company last week.

The statement pointed out that in this year’s event, entitled ‘Galaxy Got Talent 2.0’ Talent Upgraded Video Competition, employees were encouraged to upload a one-minute performance video on a designated digital platform to allow them to showcase their talents.

The statement noted that 10 videos were shortlisted by the organising committee to be displayed on various internal channels and social media platforms for the six awards at stake, with performances ranging from magic shows to beatboxing, among others.

The statement underlined that the 10 finalists and their supporters were invited to Broadway Theatre for the Galaxy Got Talent 2021 Awards Presentation Ceremony, where GEG executives presented the awards to the winners. The statement pointed out that this year’s organising committee also invited local movie director Maxim Bessmertny and local photographer Akimoto Chan to join GEG executives on the judging panel.

The statement listed the awardees as follows: Lo U Iat for Best Video Award, Pun Wai Kit for Best Creativity Video Award, Jenny Casuar Panganiban for Best Editing Video Award, Jenna Rose De Vera Roncesvalles for Best Family Video Award, David John Potts and Lei Cheng I for the Special Judges Award, and Jenny Casuar Panganiban for Facebook Most Likes Video Award.

The statement emphasised that GEG observed the COVID-19 pandemic prevention guidelines issued by the local government and also live broadcast the awards presentation ceremony in the back-of-house areas for other team members to watch the show.

The statement pointed out that GEG will continue to organise more recreational and entertainment activities to help team members achieve a work-life balance.
