The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) clarified in a statement yesterday that for the time being it has no new arrangements for in-person classes, i.e., in-class teaching will, as previously announced, only be suspended until Sunday (October 3).

According to the statement, as some local media reported yesterday that the bureau had come up with new arrangements for class suspension, the bureau clarified that it will continue to pay close attention the latest COVID-19 pandemic developments and make arrangements accordingly.

The statement also said that the bureau had not yet decided whether to extend the suspension period beyond October 3, adding that if there are any updates, it will announce them through governmental channels in due course.
