Two women were injured in two separate traffic accidents yesterday, leaving both semi-conscious, according to two Fire Services Bureau (CB) statements.

The bureau said in one of the statements that a motorcycle hit a 54-year-old mainlander near the Ocean Gardens Public Health Centre, adding that she was then taken to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for emergency treatment. The statement noted that the back of her head was injured and she was semi-conscious.

Meanwhile, a separate statement said that another traffic accident occurred yesterday near Grand Lisboa Hotel, where a taxi hit a 63-year-old woman when she was crossing the zebra crossing. The statement noted that the firefighters were alerted at 6 p.m. and when they arrived they found that she had injuries to her forehead and was drifting in and out of consciousness. The statement said that she was rushed to the nearby public hospital for emergency treatment.
