Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) said in a recent statement that in late September, it supported the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) by hosting a Food Safety and Hygiene Seminar at Galaxy Macau, which aimed to help its Food and Beverage team members obtain a deeper understanding of Macau’s food safety regulations and the importance of maintaining food quality and safety management systems.
According to the statement, the seminar was given by an IAM representative from its Department of Food Safety, focusing on providing GEG team members with the latest updates on Macau’s food safety measures, details on Macau’s food safety guidelines and regulations, and measures on improving food safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The statement said that the participating team members agreed that the seminar provided important and useful information and has helped improve their food safety knowledge that was practical and applicable to their daily work.
The statement said that GEG has been maintaining a good culture of food safety management by supporting team members to solidify their professional knowledge in the related fields and elevate their service quality, over the years. GEG has continued to cooperate with the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) on the latter’s Hotel and Catering Industry Safety Card Training Programme, with over 96 percent of its team members having completed the course.
