The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement yesterday that a number of arts and cultural activities will take place this and next month, including three outdoor musical events.
The statement noted that the outdoor musical events are entitled “Interactive Musical Graffiti”, “Outdoor Screening: Music and Movie Nights” and “Journey in Musical Corners”.
The statement said that the “Interactive Musical Graffiti” event is an installation that contains “audible and interactive musical instruments on the canvas” and will be exhibited from today to November 30 in the open space adjacent to Flower City Park in Taipa. The statement added that João Oliveira, a sound engineer from Macau, created the installation and will demonstrate it at 3 p.m. today and on November 20, and he will also conduct a musical installation workshop at the Xian Xinghai Memorial Museum on November 27 and 28.
Meanwhile, the statement underlined that the “Outdoor Screening: Music and Movie Nights” event will be held for four nights from November 22 to November 25 at the Art Plaza of the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM), featuring movies such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and In the Tracks of – Special Edition, and concerts such as Fado on Big Screen: Cuca Roseta “Meu”.
Moreover, the statement pointed out that “Journey in Musical Corners” is slated to be held next month and will consist of two themed tours with four performances on each route, which are The Musical Fantasies of Keikei and Kwong on December 4 and 5, and Detective Dreamer on December 18 and 19.
The statement underlined that registration for the events will start from 10 a.m. on next Monday, with limited quotas, for which lots will be drawn if oversubscription occurs. Online registration can be done through www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event and enquiries can also be made by calling 8399 6872 during office hours, the statement noted.
The statement stressed that the bureau will follow the COVID-19 pandemic prevention guidelines of the Health Bureau (SSM) for all the activities.
