Political activists including Lee Kin Yun yesterday submitted a petition to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office to express their anger at last week’s ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) on the South China Sea.

The activists handed their petition to a staff member of the office in Nape, addressed to Lu Chang-shui who heads the office.

The activists say in their petition that the South China Sea has been always been an integral part of China, urging the Taiwan authorities to protect the nation’s territorial waters.
