The public consultation findings on the government’s proposed Five-Year Development Plan (2016-2020) released by the government’s think tank yesterday show that issues concerning the city’s land use, housing and environment protection are the issues that residents are most “pessimistic” about.

Policy Research Office Director Lao Pun Lap, Vice Director Peter Ung Hoi Ian and U Man Fong, an advisor to Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On’s office, presided over a press conference at Government Headquarters to announce the findings.

Lao said that 10,802 opinions were collected during the public consultation period about the plan from April 26 until the end of last month.
