The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday the arrests of a male croupier and a Hong Kong man on suspicion of cheating a casino in the peninsula out of cash chips worth at least HK$100,000.
Addressing a regular press conference, a PJ spokesperson said the croupier was a 28-year-old local resident surnamed Kwan, while the Hong Kong suspect was a 64-year-old jobless man surnamed Leung. Both were arrested early Sunday morning in the casino. Kwan had worked for the casino as a croupier for six years.
The spokesperson did not identify the casino.
