The local government will provide “full assistance” to a seriously-ill female student from Macau enrolled at Huaqiao University in Fujian province, the Secretariat for
Social Affairs and Culture (GSASC) said in a statement yesterday.
According to a report yesterday by Ou Mun Tin Toi, the Chinese-language radio channel of government-owned broadcaster TDM, the student is suffering from viral encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain, which led to seizures. She is in a coma now.
