The Macau Fashion Gallery (MFG) is inviting local fashion designers with original designs to participate in its fashion exhibition later this year.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “national trend” (國潮風尚), according to a statement by MFG.
The application deadline is January 25 at 8 p.m. The application process started yesterday.
The statement noted that the exhibition aims to foster the diverse development of the local fashion design industry and promote Chinese fashion culture.
The statement said that applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a local permanent resident identity card (BIR). Moreover, the works must conform to the theme ‘national trend’, the statement said, without elaborating.
The statement continued that the works can be a clothing line, men’s, women’s, or any of the four fashion seasons. (Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter).
The statement underlined that the selected fashion works will be showcased together with mainland fashion designers’ works at the “National Trend - Greater Bay Area Fashion Exhibition” (國潮風尚—大灣區時尚服裝展). The statement stressed that the exhibition aims to display the new Chinese clothing fashion trend created by fashion designers from the Greater Bay Area (GBA), which comprises nine cities in Guangdong and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau.

Roque, or the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre’s (CPTTM) House of Apparel Technology (HAT) at the Ocean Industrial Centre, Phase 2, 10th Floor, in Rua dos Pescadores, to ask for an application form.
