According to a statement last week from the JW Marriott Hotel, Man Ho Chinese Restaurant and Urban Kitchen have prepared delicacies for this Chinese New Year of the Tiger.

The statement noted that Man Ho Chinese Restaurant will offer three special Chinese New Year (CNY) set menus and à-la-carte dishes, available from January 29 to February 7.  The set menus start at 3,688 patacas for six people and 9,888 patacas for 12 people.  Diners are invited to choose from three variations of the Lou Hei salad, New Zealand King Abalone, Norwegian Salmon and Boston Lobster, to kick off the festivities.

Other dishes include Baked Crab Claw and Squid Roe in Superior Soup, where crab claws are skilfully stuffed with squid roe before baking and serving in a rich superior soup, and the Crispy Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk with a lightly fried golden exterior.

The Man Ho Abundance Treasure Pot Takeaway is filled with nutritious ingredients including fresh abalone and lobster, among others, and is priced at 1,688 patacas for six “with 48 hours advance reservation” needed, the statement added, while the à-la-carte menu includes CNY favourites such as Baked Crab Claw in Superior Soup and Steamed Eastern Spotted Garoupa.

Moreover, the statement underlined that Urban Kitchen will introduce CNY offers, available between January 31 and February 3 (closed on February 2).

Diners can celebrate togetherness with a Fortune Dish, or “poon choy”, which serves four and requires a pre-order and a full payment of 1,688 patacas one week in advance.  An additional 88 patacas per person upgrades to a full dinner buffet, with a free-flowing juice, beers and house wines, and a specialty Chinese Mandarin Orange Mocktail.

Meanwhile, guests who prefer international delicacies will appreciate the Urban Kitchen Chinese New Year Buffet, with dishes such as Wealthy Pork Feet with Black Moss and the All-in-One Clay Pot, Golden Prawn with Salted Eggs and Roasted Crispy Fried Chicken.

The statement added that the first 20 bookings may enjoy an offer of 2,022 patacas for three adults with a complimentary bottle of a GH Mumms Champagne, or a 20 percent discount for reservation and full payment before January 20.

The statement noted that prices are subject to a 10 percent service tax.

Bookings and enquiries can be made by contacting 8886 6268.
