Residents told The Macau Post Daily on Saturday that the ongoing “Infinite Love Marathon Concerts’’ event has romantic and friendship elements but lacks promotion. They expressed their opinions after the event’s opening ceremony on Saturday night in Sai Van Lake Square.

A man, surnamed Chan, said that the event lacks promotion, adding that he only was aware of it as he happened to pass by. Chan added that the venue’s light installations create a romantic atmosphere. Regarding the food, Chan said that it would be better if there were more culinary options.

A mother, surnamed Zhong, said that the venue is ideal but has very few visitors because the event hasn’t been promoted enough. Regarding the venue’s decoration, Zhong noted that the light installations consist of family, friendship and love features. Zhong remarked that she finds the music more captivating than the event’s other features.

Meanwhile, a teenager who was standing near one of the food stands, surnamed Wong, told The Macau Post Daily that he’s, in general, satisfied with the venue and noted that the event includes romantic and friendship elements but none that highlight family aspects. Wong remarked that he liked the food stand area the most out of the venue’s three different areas. However, Wong said he hoped that there would be more food choices next time.

The venue consists of a concert area, food stands and game booths.

An elderly woman, surnamed Chan, told The Macau Post Daily that the venue’s space is rather large. Chan added that she saw other families and friends eating at the food stands’ designated area which she described as “great” and gave her a friendly feeling.

The “Infinite Love Marathon Concerts”, co-hosted by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM), started on Saturday and runs until Sunday, February 20.
