The Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) said in a statement yesterday that it will be hosting the computer version of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam at its Bell Centre of English at the end of this month.
According to the statement, the first IELTS exam will take place on Friday, and for the next few months there will be two to six sessions per month. The statement said that for those who are interested in taking the exam, they can sign up at https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/test-chooser. The statement pointed out that in order to align with the government’s COVID-19 prevention and control measures, exam takers must wear a facemask at all times, have their temperature checked, scan the venue code and display a valid Macau Health Code.
The statement said that the computerised exam has only been added recently, the difficulty level and rubric are the same as the written exam but the results can be announced faster.
The statement said that the Bell Centre of English has been providing university level English courses and vocational English training to the local community. For more information about the centre, residents can visit http://bellcentre.ipm.edu.mo or call 8599 3162.
