Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario said yesterday the government won’t consider opening the meetings of the Urban Renewal Council to members of the public, as the council’s “internal regulation” doesn’t stipulate that the meetings need to be held in public.

Rosario, who chairs the council, made the comments after a closed-door meeting of the government-appointed council at the Transport Bureau (DSAT).

During yesterday’s meeting, according to Rosario, the council passed the “internal regulation” on its modus operandi.
